This culinary hobby and passion that I have always had in making brownies all with a unique twist is kind of now an unbelievable experience with all the attention erupting from this blog. Ok, call it what you want, but I know for sure this brownie is insanely good and trying to convince yourself that maybe next time it will be different would be pure insanity.
The Einsteinity Nutty & Repetitious Brownie, is the one go-to brownie that will have you wondering how did this combination of oranges, nuts & chocolate ever get past you and this is absolutely crazy. Well as you will soon discover this perfect mixture is what can only be described as a genius idea for a seasonal brownie, because it makes you think happy holidays when you eat it, in more ways than one. Now trust me, I'm not nuts in thinking that this brownie can be an original recipe and in fact, it is not, but it does have a nutty twist that will make it uniquely yours.
So let's break it on down...
The competing star ingredients of this brownie are the fruit oranges theme throughout and the multiple types of chocolate which together have to be the one brownie that once you sink your teeth into it, you instantly think oh boy! This brownie will be one of your favorite and sure-fire hit with your family, friends, guest, acquaintances and even folks that don't like you but occasionally drop in on ya. The secret ingredient can be found in my book but I'll give you a little hint, it began with two confectionery brothers back in 1849.
Oranges are among the most popular fruits in the whole world. There are over 600 individual different types of oranges grown around the world, of which there are two basic categories. One category is the sweet orange which accounts for about 70% of citrus production and the other type is the bitter orange. The earliest written history of the sweet orange dates back to Chinese literature from 314 B.C. and was later documented to have been introduced to Spain by the Moors who ruled Europe from early 8th to late 15th centuries.
The health benefits of the orange are serval which include, lowering of risk of having a stroke, lowering of blood pressure as well as lowering the risk of certain types of cancer and kidney stones. The fiber, potassium, vitamin C and choline contained in oranges all contribute to heart health too. And here's a real beneficial fact I found in the research, one orange can provide up to 130 percent of the vitamin C needed by your body to function for the entire day.
